Questions · Pantry

What chefs ask before they sign up.

Every answer is written out, so you can read the lot in five minutes. Each question has a link you can send to whoever signs the cheques.

Most kitchens are working in Pantry by the end of the first week. Send us the spreadsheets you use today and we turn the recipes, suppliers and prices into Pantry data for you, free, usually within two working days.

You can run both side by side for as long as you like. Nothing is deleted from the old files.

From the invoices you already receive. Forward a supplier invoice to your Pantry address, or photograph it, and the prices on it update every recipe that uses those ingredients.

A dish shows its cost, its margin and how both moved since last month. When a price changes, you see which dishes it affects before you decide anything.

Pantry reads sales from Square, Lightspeed, Toast and SumUp, and from a CSV if yours is not on the list. Sales are used to estimate what you should have in stock and what to prep tomorrow, and nothing is written back to the till.

No. A full count once a month is enough to keep the numbers honest. In between, Pantry estimates stock from deliveries and sales, and asks you to check only the handful of items where the estimate looks off.

Pantry is $79 a month for each kitchen, with no set-up fee and no contract. Pay monthly and stop whenever you like, or pay for a year and get two months free.

The first month is free, and we do not ask for a card to start it.

All of it, as spreadsheets, at any time and on every plan. Recipes, costs, suppliers, orders and counts. If you stop paying, the account stays readable for 90 days.
