Wren · Asked and answered

The questions we get, as we would answer them across a table.

What does Wren actually do?

It keeps track of the bills your household pays: rent, energy, broadband, the insurance that renews in March. It knows when each is due, what it usually costs and who said they would pay it.

It does not move your money. Wren tells you what is coming; you pay it the way you always have.

Do I have to connect my bank account?

No. You can add bills by hand, forward the email they arrive in, or photograph the paper one. A bank connection is optional, and it only reads: Wren cannot make a payment.

Can the people I live with use it too?

Yes, up to six. Everyone sees the same bills and can mark one as paid. If you split things unevenly, set the split once and Wren works out who owes whom each month.

How does it remind me?

By email or a notification, three days before and on the morning a bill is due. You can change both, or switch them off for a bill you pay by direct debit.

What does it cost?

Nothing for one household with up to ten bills. Wren Plus is $4 a month and lifts the limit, adds a yearly summary and keeps your paper bills for as long as you need them.

If I stop using it, can I take my bills with me?

Settings, Export gives you every bill, payment and attachment as a spreadsheet and a folder of files. It is the same on the free plan and the paid one, and it does not expire.
