CLI
Kagadmodyaa doesn't ship its own CLI — every component is a standard
shadcn registry item, so the shadcn CLI you already know
works directly against it.
init
pnpm dlx shadcn@latest initRun once per project. Sets up Tailwind CSS variables, components.json, and the cn() helper.
add
pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add <url>Fetches one registry item's JSON and writes its files into your project at the paths it declares. Every Kagadmodyaa component page shows its exact URL, in the form:
https://kagadmodyaa.vercel.app/r/<name>.jsonadd also resolves registryDependencies — adding button, for example, pulls in utils
automatically.
Named registry
To skip the full URL, register the catalogue under a name in components.json:
{
"registries": {
"@kagadmodyaa": "https://kagadmodyaa.vercel.app/r/{name}.json"
}
}pnpm dlx shadcn@latest add @kagadmodyaa/buttonPro items are not in the public registry; their pages show the source once Pro launches.
Building your own registry
The whole Kagadmodyaa catalogue is itself just a registry.json plus one file per item, built with:
npx shadcn buildIf you fork or self-host part of the catalogue, the same command regenerates the JSON files under
public/r/ from source — see Components for the current list of items.
